Inspired by Michelangelo Antonioni’s notion of “digging through the arid materials of our times,” Yujia’s work explores the delicate interplay between space and human presence, capturing fleeting moments against the unstoppable tide of history. Her design language is shaped by a sensitive observation of life, crafting spaces that resonate with human emotions and stories.
A London-based Production Designer and National Film and Television School alumn, Yujia has created visual worlds ranging from period to futuristic, and from social realism to fantasy. Her notable works include This Is Ours, winner of Best Short Film at the Reykjavik International Film Festival, and Summer Blur, awarded Best Feature Film in Berlinale’s Generation Kplus category.
